Recon Drone

Now I have heard and seen people say that this point streak is a waste or that they don't understand the use of the Recon Drone. I can tell you that it is a very valuable tool. Especially in objective based games like capture the flag, team defender, and domination just to name a few. Why is it so useful? Well a lot of people are running the perks Blind Eye and Assassin to prevent from being seen on the mini map and by enemy air support. With the recon drone you can allow your team to see these type of players as shown in the video above.

Tagging individuals with the recon drone does the following
  • Gives you +100 points, the same amount as if you killed that person with a weapon.
  • Temporarily blinds them and mini map goes out.
  • Each person your teammates kill that you have tagged gives you +20 points (tag assist).
  • Tagged enemies stay on the mini map as solid red dots until they are killed.
  • Blind Eye and Assassin are not immune to these effects.
Now the recon drone does come with some downsides. One of them being, that on maps with a lot of buildings it can be tough to tag a person in time before they enter one. Second it can't take damage well, so if the enemy spots it flying around and can put lead on it then kiss it goodbye. It also stands no chance against the EMP grenade. You can only hope that the enemy has a bad throwing arm.

If you have never used the recon drone before, I would recommend trying out in 4 to 5 matches. To allow yourself to be accustom to its controls, and seeing what maps are most advantageous for it. If you have Double XP then definitely run it, you will rack up a ridiculous amount of points.

Modern Warfare 3 - Drop Zone Class Setup

So Drop Zone is the newest game type out for Modern Warfare 3. I played it for most of the weekend, trying out certain things and came to this conclusion. I die a lot while playing this, and it can get boring fast. It works like this. Run to the objective, secure objective, die on objective. Then repeat the process over and over until you win. Now for each person who is in the DZ your team gets 20 points. You will want at least 3 to 4 people on the DZ at any given, which translates to a lot of points. While the other 2 or 3 people on your team who are outside the DZ are eliminating who ever tries to get near it. Above is a class setup to get you going in the right direction. Hope it helps you out.

Modern Warfare 3 Enemy Intel Locations

Finding these is not always easy. Some are hidden in plain sight while others are just that, hidden. Here is a video I composed consisting of all 46 enemy intel locations. They can only be found through the single player campaign. Following this guide will help you unlock the achievements Informant & Scout Leader.

Arms Dealer Achievement

This achievement is by far the biggest pain in the ass in the game. After spending 15 hours to reach Level 50. You read the description thinking, oh this should be easy to unlock. Then after buying all the weapons and no achievement Punchinfaceitis sets in. You know that felling when you can't figure something out, and it is annoying you so bad you want to punch yourself or someone else in the face. Yeah that's Punchinfaceitis. Once you go into the weapon armory, questions arise.
  • Do I have to buy all the weapons in one match?
  • Do I have to buy all the upgrades (attachments) for each weapon?
  • Who the hell made this achievement and can I punch them in the face?
At least those were my questions, they may differ from yours. So I decided to make a video showing you how to go about it. If you have bought all the weapons in the armory the upgrades shown in the video should help to unlock this achievement.
